There is an air of excitement in the school yard. Teachers are relaxed, students are laughing, and the yard looks a little bit different from the usual. Is that a blowup tiger that you can jump inside of? Well, yes, yes it is. A giant bouncy slide? Uh huh. These things look so out of place that you just want go ahead and touch them. But before you do, you hear an ear piercing whistle coming from the principal.

It’s been weeks and weeks of strenuous studying and diligent learning; now the kids are ready to unwind. The problem is, these students are getting rowdy. While it’s good to let them loosen up, they do need some structure, or else they will be beyond control. Don’t worry – there is a solution, and it’s much more simple than you’d think!

Have you ever been to a Carnival before? Yeah, you probably have (if you haven’t, then you better go check one out, right now). Now, try to remember what your child-self was thinking while at the carnival. I bet it wasn’t anything like: “I can’t stand all this fun and excitement, I better go find something else to do.”

There you go! Kids love carnival activities, booths, and especially those incredible memorable prizes they get at the end. What a perfect platform for them to unwind, while learning that school is a great place!

So here’s how to turn a normal school day into one of the best days of your student’s lives. Not only will they have a great time; they will also feel reenergized and ready to go back for some good spirited learning. Let’s get back to that whistle:

Organization is key for a school fun day. You have all the exhilarating activities, such as a water balloon arena, and a Wii gaming center; but no one is going to know what to do, unless everything is in order. A good idea is to split up into groups; Group A, B, and C, you could even give them each unique names. To identify the groups, try a colored sticker, or a special hat. Either way you do it, the goal is to split the large bunch of ecstatic kids into smaller, and more manageable groups.

Now, I’m fairly certain everyone is going to want to sprint straight over to the Finding Nemo Centre – but don’t let them – not all at once! Set up a rotation, giving each station a time limit that ensures each group a turn. When the whistle blasts, it’s time to rotate.

Stations are going to make or break this scintillating day! Now it’s true that some kids will like the junior batting cages, and others will only want to partake in the blow up Survival Obstacle Course (I know, they’re missing out!), but if the majority of the group is having the time of their lives, the rest will eventually join in. Remember to talk to all faculty members and get a vote on what they think would be the most fun.

So now the day is going smoothly, maybe you had six stations, with each station being fifteen minutes long. If it’s a hot day, everyone could go under the cooling misting tent, where each group will tell the other how they had “way more fun than everyone else.”
With all the groups moving around each station, two full hours will quickly be filled with smiles and laughs. Now, remember, kids are notorious for their short term memories; so how are we going to have them remember how amazing their school is?

Prizes! Yes, that’s right. Fun is great and good for the moment, but prizes last forever. Get a carnival booth stand, and you can fill it with whatever prizes you want! Ask us about our vast collection of game prizes, and we’ll help you set up the best table yet. This will leave a long lasting impression on these precious kids, and not only that, their parents will be get to see proof that their child had the best day ever.
